Ivan R. Troutman

October 31, 1924 to August 1, 2013

KEWANNA - Ivan Roy Troutman, 88, of Rochester passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, at Hickory Creek Healthcare Center, Rochester.

Born on Oct. 31, 1924 in Winamac, he was the son of the late Perry and Ethel (Agnew) Troutman.

Survivors include his brother, Charles Troutman (Jackie) of Baltimore, sisters, Ruth Taylor of Winamac and Lois Hansen (Norm) of Mayer, Ariz., and nieces, Carol Bibler and Barbara Hittle, both of Argos. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Doris Miller.

Mr. Troutman was a 1942 Kewanna High School graduate. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of Kewanna Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing and cutting wood.

A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with military rites will follow at McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.

Memorial donations may be made to American Macular Degeneration Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association and/or the Kewanna Church of Christ.
