Wilbur E. Thompson

August 12, 1941 to July 27, 2013

WINAMAC - Wilbur E. Thompson, 71, of Winamac, (formerly of Monon) died at 5:10 a.m., Saturday, July 27, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

He was born on Aug. 12, 1941 in Sullivan, to the late Marion W. and Leliah G. Cox Thompson. On April 11, 1966, he married Doris A. Allen. She survives.

Mr. Thompson was a longtime resident of White County. He was retired from Monon Trailer. He was a member of Calvary Temple Church of Monticello. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed staying at Lakeview Cottages on Kentucky Lake. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be from 1 - 2 p.m., Thursday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A meemorial service will follow at 2 p.m., (Thursday, Aug, 1), at the funeral home with Pastor Charlie Roberts officiating. A graveside service will then follow at 3:30 p.m., at Bedford Cemetery, Monon.  Burial will take place immediately after the service.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Frain Mortuary. .
