Ann A. Selle

August 8, 1921 to July 6, 2013

WINAMAC - Ann Amelia Selle, 91, Winamac, passed away at 6:55 a.m., Saturday, July 6, at Pulaksi Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

She was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Winamac, to the late John and Rose Poole Kruzick. She married Forrest Dixon on May 10, 1946, in Winamac. He passed away Jan. 28, 1969. She then married Wilfred Selle on Sept. 5, 1970 in Winamac. He passed away Feb. 16, 1973.

Mrs. Selle attended school at St. Peter's parochial and Winamac High School. In 1944 she enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Womens Army Corp (WACS) and was discharged in 1946. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of Charity, Christian Mothers, and an associate member of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, and had formerly lived in Star City. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m., followed by a Christian Mothers service. A scriptural wake service will follow at 7:30 p.m., all at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be at 2 p.m., Thursday (July 11) at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac.
