Daniel E. Wilson

October 1, 1962 to May 4, 2013

WINAMAC - Daniel E. Wilson, 50, of Monterey, died at 7:48 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

He was born Oct. 1, 1962, in Cheverly, MD, to James and Myra Lovekemp Wilson. He married April L. Depue on Jan. 1, 1983, in Midwest City, OK. She survives.

Mr. Wilson joined the U.S. Army in 1980 and then the U.S. Air Force in 1981. He spent the next 22 years serving his country, retiring June 30, 2004. He retired as a Master Sargent. He was a flight engineer for 19 years and an aerospace maintenance engineer for three years. He spent most of his career flying on the C-130. He loved flying. He served numerous times in the Persian Gulf during the recent conflicts there.

After his retirement, Mr. Wilson enjoyed collecting antique firearms. He loved the outdoors, keeping busy all the time, and his fur babies. He will be really missed by his family.
