WINAMAC - Harold Wayne Tunis, 68, of 7980 S 475 W, Winamac, passed away at 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Hickory Creek, Winamac.

He was born Nov. 19, 1941, in Chicago,to Clarence and Virginia Robinson Tunis.

Mr. Tunis was a retired switchboard operator and manager for AT&T. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was formerly of Hammond and had lived in Winamac since 1996.

Friends may call after 3 p.m., Thursday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A memorial services will follow at 4 p.m., (Thursday, Sept. 2), at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Abbott officiating. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military honors at the funeral home following the service.
