FRANCESVILLE - Irene Fox, 96, of Francesville, died at 3:25 p.m., Monday, April 15, at the Rensselaer Care Center in Rensselaer.

She was born June 17, 1916 in Diagonal, IA to the late Frank and Frances Friemel Stejskal. She married George Emerson Fox on Aug. 29, 1936, in Knox. He passed away on July 4, 1973.

Mrs. Fox was a member of the Independence Church, Gilliam Township, rural Jasper County. She had been a cook at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville and a counselor at the Methodist Camp. She lived in Francesville most of her life.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday (April 23), at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery, Medaryville.
