Mr. Bonnell was a farmer in the Winamac area for over 35 years. He moved to Arizona in the early 1970's with Hazel. He was a member of the Star City United Methodist Church and enjoyed going to services when he visited during the summers. He was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers Association for over 20 years and enjoyed going to the musical jams all over the state of Arizona. His favorite thing in life was to go camping. For many years he and his wife traveled the U. S. in their camper and later mini-home. In his later years he loved spending time with his family and sitting on his front porch visiting with friends and neighbors. Spud always had a joke to share and a smile on his face. He brought a warm light into everyone's lives that he touched.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday (March 27), at the funeral home with Rev. Ruth Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Buck Cemetery, Thornhope.
Memorial donations may be given to Star City United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Valley in Arizona. http:/www.hov.org
