WINAMAC - Beverly Jean Sobczak, 83, of Plymouth, formerly of Winamac, passed away at 2:01 a.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth.

She was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Winamac, to the late Paul and Irene James Somers. She married Ernest S. Sobczak on Jan. 28, 1950, in Knox. He passed away  Feb. 21, 1981.

Mrs. Sobczak was a member of the VFW Post #1728 Auxillary, and Moss Creek Country Club. She was retired from Torin Manufacturing, Rochester. She enjoyed golfing, being with her friends, and cooking. n enjoyed the company of her dog Casey.

Friends may call after 4 p.m., Tuesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m., (Tuesday, Dec. 18), at the funeral home  with Pastor Rick Abbott officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac, at a later date.
