WINAMAC - Mary Weldy, 88, of Winamac, died at 6:05 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, at Hickory Creek, Winamac.

She was born June 16, 1924, in Winamac, to the late Orville T. and Cora J. Hoover Chamness. She married  Albert R. Weldy on June 12, 1943, in Winamac. He died May 18, 2001.

Mrs. Weldy was a member of Bethel Bible Church, Winamac, most of her life. She was a former employee of Heckman Bindery in North Manchester. She was a former resident of North Manchester and Silver Lake. After her retirement, Mary and Albert spent winters in Texas. She enjoyed listening to country music, word search books and fishing. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday (Dec. 1), at the funeral home with Pator Edward Clark and Pastor Tom Hopewell officiating. Burial will be in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.

Memorial donations may be given to Bethel Bible Church, Winamac.
