Judy E. Lewis

March 25, 1945 to June 15, 2012

WINAMAC - Judith E. "Judy" Lewis, 67, of Monterey, died at 2:18 a.m., Friday, June 15, at her residence. 

She was born March 25, 1945, in Rochester, to the late Joseph and Jenette Cinninger Lewis. She married Loren W. Lewis on Jan. 28, 1962 in Argos. He survives.

Mrs. Lewis graduated from Argos High School and later in life she attended Ancilla College. After they were married, the Lewises lived and worked in Wolcott for several years before moving to Monterey where they purchased their longtime family home. Mrs. Lewis worked at the Harts Schaffner and Marx factory in Rochester for several years. She dedicated most of her life to raising her family and working on the Lewis family farm.

She was an avid book reader. She was a NASCAR fan. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and taking care of her yard. She loved her dog, Maggie. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. She loved her grandchildren very much and dedicated as much time as possible to each and everyone of them.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday (June 21) at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Foster officiating. Burial will take be in Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Monterey.
