August 14, 1937 to June 2, 2012

LAFAYETTE - Nancy L. Motuliak, 74, of Lafayette, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital East in Lafayette 6:25 a.m., Saturday June 2, where she had been a patient for three days.

She was born in Winamac, Aug. 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Herman Henry and Leona Pearl Smith Rausch, and had resided in Lafayette since 1955.

Surviving is a daughter, Michelle Lynn Jubera (husband Robert) of St. John; 3 sons, Marc Peter Motuliak (wife Kimberly) of Lafayette; Michael Anthony Motuliak (wife Karen Arth) of Battle Ground; Matthew Kassian Motuliak of Lafayette; 1 sister, Mary Frances Kiser of Royal Center; and a brother, James Rausch (wife Jean) of Star City. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Rausch.

Mrs. Motuliak was a graduate of Winamac High School and attended Indiana University at Bloomington. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral; a member of the Altar & Rosary Society; a current member of the Parish Council; served as a Eucharistic Minister; a member of Christ Renews His Parish and was a member and past president of Delta Chi Sigma Sorority, Indiana Province.

She loved to travel, especially group travel and spending good times with her many friends. She enjoyed watching Purdue basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Chicago Cubs. She liked to garden, especially her flower garden and was a great fan of Elvis Presley. She was employed at National Homes for several years, and later as a court reporter for the Tippecanoe County Courts, and had also been employed as an executive assistant in the Purdue University Civil Engineering Department.

Friends may call from the Rosary at 4:45 p.m., until 7 p.m., Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Lafayette. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday (June 8), at St. Mary's Cathedral with Fr. Eric Underwood, Fr. Dan Gartland and Fr. Robert Klemme officiating, with interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

If friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cathedral.
