WOLCOTT - Viola M. Kyburz, 95, of Francesville, formerly of Wolcott, died at 12:35 a.m., Sunday, June 20, at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer.

Born Sept. 19, 1914 in Seafield, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Sophia Oberlander Klopfenstein. She attended school in Seafield. Her marriage was to Edward H. Kyburz, Sr. on Dec. 24, 1932 in Monticello. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1986.

Surviving is a son, Paul H. Kyburz (wife: Carol) of Otterbein; a brother, Levi "Bud" Klopfenstein of Monticello; and a sister, Wilma Knapp of Goodfield, Ill. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Kyburz of Wolcott, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a son, Edward S. Kyburz Jr., a daughter, Marcille J. Furrer, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, and a grandchild.

Mrs. Kyburz helped her husband on the farm and was a cook at various restaurants within the community. She was a member of the Wolcott Apostolic Christian Church and World Relief.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Wednesday (June 23), at the Wolcott Apostolic Christian Church. Interment to follow in Wolcott Cemetery.
