Carl Kruger

May 12, 1937 to February 15, 2012

FRANCESVILLE - Carl M. Kruger, 74, Francesville, passed away at 8:33 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

He was born May 12, 1937, in Francesville, to the late Melvin and Sylvia Edna Timmons Kruger. He was married on Oct. 28, 1956, in Francesville, to Betty L. Grieger.  She survives.

Mr. Kruger was a member of St. James-Salem United Church of Christ, Francesville. He was a 50-year member of the Winamac Masonic Lodge #262, and a former member of the Francesville Lion's Club. He was also a former member of the Pulaski Co. 4-H Swine Committee.

He was a lifelong farmer. He also had been employed at Donaldson's, Rensselaer, for 10 years, and at Black Gold Farms, Winamac. He was a longtime substitute U.S. Postal Service rural mail carrier. He was an avid Purdue University sports fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR races. He also enjoyed sitting on his porch waving at all those who drove by his house and he also enjoyed mowing his lawn. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday (Feb. 19), at the funeral home with Pastor T. J. Jenney officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Memorial donations may be given to St. James-Salem UCC Youth Program or the American Lung Association.
