Barbara R. Crist
March 2, 1938 to February 9, 2012
WINAMAC - Barbara Rose Crist, 73, of Pulaski, passed away at 10:40 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1938, in Pulaski, to the late John Howard and Rose F. Lanz Tieman. She married Gilbert Bryce Crist on Oct. 22, 1960 in Pulaski. He died Jan. 8, 1994.

Mrs. Crist graduated from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis in 1959. She worked at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer and Pulaski Memorial in Winamac. She worked for Dr. William Thompson in Winamac until her retirement in 1988. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski and was a member of the Christian Mothers. She was active in the Northern Indiana Power From the Past organization and its Quilt Show, and the Pulaski Fest-a-Mill (Christmas Lights) Committee for which she served as secretary and treasurer.
Friends may call from 12 noon to 3 p.m., Tuesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., (Tuesday, Feb. 14), at the funeral home with Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery South, Pulaski.
