Linda Fry

March 8, 1948 to December 27, 2011

ROYAL CENTER - Linda Lou Reed Fry, 63, of Lima, Ohio (formerly of Star City), died Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Kindred Hospital in Lima.

Born March 8, 1948 in Logansport, she was the only child of the late Paul and Bertha Mays Reed. On June 22, 1966, she married the late Eugene G. Fry in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Survivors include her son, Robert and his wife, Michelle (Meyers) Fry of Lima, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Judy Fry Galaher and friend, Eric Prentice of Winamac and Beverly Fry Sproles and husband, Brandon of Monticello; nieces, Becky Litke and friend, Terry Brown of Kewanna and Kim Litke Fox and husband, Randy of Winamac and nephew, Anthony Sproles and wife, Jean of Bloomington, Illinois. She is also survived by two great nieces, Brandi Fox Kappes and husband, Bryce and Lindsey Fox, and two great nephews, Austin Sproles and Matt Sproles.

She was preceded in death by daughter Kristine Fry and nephew Kevin Litke.

Although she grew up in California, Mrs. Fry lived nearly her entire adult life in Pulaski County with her husband and children. She was a lifetime homemaker and cherished her family very much. She was an avid horseback rider and animal lover. She always had pets such as dogs, cats and even a few wild critters such as raccoon, rabbits and deer. She was also very involved in helping her husband with their Indiana wildlife habitat.

She enjoyed playing cards, crafts and photography, especially of wildlife. One of her greatest joys was traveling the back roads of America with her family where they shared numerous adventures. In later years, she spent winter months in South Padre Island, Texas with her two cats, Abby and Mittens.

Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. on Friday, at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m., (Friday, Dec. 30), at Victor Chapel Cemetery, located in rural Pulaski County near Star City.
