Audrey A. Martin

September 11, 1933 to May 26, 2010
 

WINAMAC - Audrey A. Martin, 76, of 711 N. Agnew St., Winamac, passed away at 11:50 p.m.,  Wednesday, May 26, at her daughter's residence.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1933 in Mundelein, IL to Harry and Ethel Hawker Wagner. In 1945, her family moved to Lake Mason near Briggsville, WI. She married Carl Williams on April 12, 1953 in Milwaukee. In 1954, they moved to Carl’s family farm five miles east of Winamac, where they raised five children. Carl survives. She married Jack Martin on March 11, 1989 near Walton. They lived most of their married life near Linton. Jack died Aug. 12, 2005. Mrs. Martin moved back to Winamac in 2006 to be near her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Martin had worked at the Fulton-Marshall Co-Op in Kewanna, IN for 15 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Rochester. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kewanna. She was a founding member of the Harrison Township Home-Ec Club. She loved to cook and for the past several years had been supplying the Winamac Marching Band with cookies.

Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m.,  Tuesday (June 1), at the funeral home with Steve Martin officiating. The ladies of the Red Hat Society will share memories of Mrs. Martin as part of the service.

Memorial donations may be given to Pulaski Memorial Hospice or Winamac Music Boosters or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
