KNOX - Rudolph T. “Rudy” Heise Sr., 75, of Monterey, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, at his home.

He was born June 14, 1949 in Winamac, to Edward and Marguerite Heise. On March 2, 1968 he married Norma Martin. She survives.

Also surviving are his children Rudy (Holly) Heise Jr., Kim Fischer and Crystal (Nathan) Benson; a sister Marjorie Ahleniu; two brothers Fred Heise and Richard Heise; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Randolph and Roderick Heise and two brothers Edward and Raymond Heise.

Mr. Heise worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local 150. His favorite hobby was farming with his son, Rudy. He was also an avid sports fan, rooting for the Colts and his beloved Chicago White Sox.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. (CT), Thursday, Oct. 10, with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will follow at Bass Lake Cemetery.
