WINAMAC - Russell James “Russ” Chobot, 64, of Winamac (formerly of Chicago and Romeoville, IL), passed away Monday, Oct. 7, at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac.

He was born July 16, 1960 in Chicago to the late John and Alice [Dvorak] Chobot.

He is survived by:
Deborah (Kevin) Kobos, Daughter
5 Grandchildren
2 Great-Grandchildren
Cheryl (James) Heeren, Sister
Joseph Zawadzki, Best Friend

Preceded in death by:
Michael Chobot, Brother

Mr. Chobot enjoyed cooking and loved animals. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
