WINAMAC - Ruth Pauline Hayes, 81, of Winamac (formerly of North Judson) passed away Friday, Aug. 30, at her home.

She was born Jan. 9, 1943 in Oneida, NY to the late Bert Rufus and Norine Elizabeth [Hancock] Rowe. On Oct. 11, 1965, she married Herman Rogers Hayes in Colorado Springs, CO. He passed away Nov. 30, 2019.

Mrs. Hayes was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was “mom” to many kids over the years. She attended church regularly and enjoyed teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. She read her Bible every day and was devoted to serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The funeral service will be at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Pastor Mark Pilger officiating. Private burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
