WINAMAC - Matthew C. Damore, 66, of Cape Coral, FL passed away Monday, July 15, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. 

He was born July 6, 1958, in Chicago, the son of Marion Harry and Elsie J. [Olson] Damore Jr.

Mr. Damore was a carpenter and proud member of the Teamsters Union. He spent many years working in the family business, Original Chicago Produce. He was an All-American gymnast who became an NCAA champion with the UIC Gymnastics Team. He was a beloved gymnastics coach to countless athletes and was a judge in the sport for many years.

The family will host a celebration of life service at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
