Parkview Haven administrator Max Jones and CFPC executive director Leeann Wright accept a donation of $8,000 for the newly formed Childcare Coalition in Pulaski County. Presenting the check are Alliance Bank employees (l to r) Jessica Broadaway, Ami Derrickson, Kim Marlatt and Kim Shidler. |
“One piece of our mission as a community bank is to invest in our local communities,” shared Bank President and CEO Shane Pilarski. “It’s not unusual to see our employees in their Alliance green shirts at local events and supporting organizations with their time. This year has been strong for the bank; it is a privilege to be able to increase our financial support to valuable non-profits.”
Bank leadership empowered employees to determine how the extra gifts would be allocated. Focused on the priorities of agriculture, community development, and childcare, each employee was able to designate $500 to the organization of their choice. The real fun came when they got to deliver the checks, surprising many organizations and learning more about the work they do.
Donations totaling $13,000 were delivered in Pulaski County to the Community Foundation of Pulaski County, Pulaski County 4-H & Community Fair Association, Medaryville Nursery School, Uptown Project, Boys & Girls Club, and the newly formed Childcare Coalition. All gifts designated to the Community Foundation unrestricted funds will be matched two-to-one by Lilly Endowment.
