The Memorial Swinging Bridge Project has received a check from Doral, LLC (Mammoth Solar). Shown here are (front) Ran Rabi and Ed Baptista of Doral; and (back) Ethan Oswald, Doral; Norm Welker; Nick Cohen, president/CEO of Doral; Stan Czech, commander, VFW (financial sponsor of the project); and Cindy Hickle, MSB project committee. (Notice the improved look of the bridge, still closed to traffic, but once again a bright silver with a bright white foundation). |
In 2022, the Star City Lions raised funds to put a roof on the small community building and to make some other repairs and improvements. One donor's check was lost in the mail; but it was received recently. Here is Mel Good, accepting a check from Paul Marsh of the Indiana Lions Foundation. |
