Larkin’s fondest memory of playing at Winamac is “relationships with teammates. Until I researched some of this, I didn’t remember many stats or records but I certainly remember the friendships that were made and some of which I still remain in contact with today.” Larkin also recalled “setting the team record of 124 points in a game is still a great memory. It’s been fun to share stories of our senior year hoops team when my sons while they were playing – I still have family bragging rights (and family records) to this day for some - (Cal/Will both passed my total in career points, but they didn’t pass much, especially to each other!). My sophomore year there were two sets of brothers in the hoops starting lineup Larkin/Larkin/Pugh/Pugh. My brother Kevin was a senior, Mike Pugh was a senior and Dave Pugh (sophomore) were all starters.”

In 1987-89 Pugh was a three-time All-Loganland member, South Bend All-Area member, 1988 All-State football member, and a 1989 North-South Team Shrine Bowl All Star. In golf, Pugh held or still holds three records: individual 9-hole low score (31-

He also helped lead the Warriors to the first Regional title by an athletic team in 1989. He was also named the Winamac Athlete of the Year in 1989.

Pugh has a couple “fondest” memories of playing/coaching at Winamac, “Coaching (golf) with relatives/nephews on the team and the conversations while traveling to/from events is something I have never forgotten. Coach Roth's life lessons on working hard and aiming high stuck with me, and still do.”

Pugh graduated from Purdue University, and now resides in Winamac with his wife Samantha, and he also has four children (Devon, Jake, Harley, and Lucy). He is the senior director of research and design for BraunAbility Global.
