The award went up to $200 per organization in 2020 and 2021. To date, a total of $8,200 has been gifted to unsuspecting organizations from the hearts of Community Foundation board volunteers.
In 2022, the Board Bucks will be awarded in four awards throughout the year and focus on the four areas of community aspiration: Welcoming & Open-Minded; Safe & Drug-Free; Thriving & Growing; and Forward Thinking Leadership.
Board members pooled suggestions and voted on the first award for 2022. Pulaski County Tribe was the recipient for their work supporting a welcoming and open-minded community.
The Tribe’s mission is to communicate, collaborate, and celebrate all communities in Pulaski County for the greater good of residents and guests. President and founder Brandi Larkin and several Tribe volunteers accepted the first 2022 Board Bucks grant at the Community Foundation office.
