The induction ceremony took place during halftime of the Winamac vs. Caston varsity boys basketball game.
Jeff Beach served as head varsity track coach at Winamac for 21 years. During that tenure, he had 21 winning seasons, and 703 career wins. Also, during those 21 seasons, Coach Beach had seven undefeated regular seasons, six conference championships, and five sectional championships (five straight from 2013-2017), with 2013 being the school’s first ever.
Beach coached 13 of the 16 track school record holders, coached 11 entries to the state finals, including the 2007 and fellow Hall of Fame member and state champion Shane Crawford in the 100m. He was also a four- time IATCCC District Coach of the Year nominee and a six- time Conference Coach of the Year.
While going into the Hall of Fame as a track coach, Beach was also the Warriors head basketball coach for six years. During this time he was able to bring the Warriors a conference championship and a sectional championship, and was voted Coach of the Year in 1995-96.
Beach is also a 1976 Winamac graduate who lettered nine times and was named the Athlete of the Year in 1976.
Tim Roth was the head football coach at Winamac for 36 years. He is the winningest football coach in the history of WCHS football with 243 career wins. He was able to win 11 conference championships, seven sectionals, and two regional titles. During his time as head coach he coached 13 North All-Stars, and coached in the All- Star game twice; the first time in the 1990-91 season as an assistant and then the 2012-13 season as the North Head Coach.
Roth served as president of the Indiana Football Coaches Association in 2005. He was the Region 4 Coach of the Year three times. In 2014 Roth was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
While going into the Winamac Hall of Fame as a football coach, he also coached middle school track and basketball and also high school wrestling where he led the Warriors to the first undefeated regular season in school history. Coach Roth earned multiple coach of the year awards not only in football but also in wrestling.
Roth is also a 1972 Winamac graduate who lettered eight times while playing football, basketball and baseball.
