Utilizing Blueair’s HEPASilent technology, the Classic 605 air purifiers can track and display current air quality at the library while filtering air in an up to 775 square-foot room at the industry-recommended rate of five times an hour (or about every 12 minutes) to effectively lower particle levels and maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
Air quality is of significant concern to Hoosiers as the state ranks very low in national comparisons for air quality. The Hoosier State ranks 46 out of 50 states due to its poor air quality, according to a report cited by the library.
The library has utilized various Blueair purifiers in the past, and Ledley noted the convenience of Blueair purifiers capability to automatically adjust fan speed and notify staff when the air quality indoors was poor.
“We believe these additional air purifiers will help us enhance the indoor air quality for patrons as they use the library, and we are grateful for the generosity of Blueair,” Ledley added.
“By supporting our local communities as they reopen, we’re hoping to help educational facilities provide for community members as safely and quickly as possible,” says Suzy Kwiecien, Blueair’s head of brand and product marketing in North America. “Blueair was founded on the firm belief that the freedom to breathe is a basic right. Today, our award-winning air purifiers are still designed with the aim of creating the safest environment to allow communities to thrive – while making the least impact on the environment.”
