As part of GIFT VII, each community foundation that achieved 100 percent board member giving during the period from Jan. 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020, was eligible to receive an unrestricted grant of $100,000 per county served. This grant is in recognition of the important role that the community foundation’s board of directors plays both in leading the foundation and serving communities across Pulaski County.
“The CFPC Board is unique in its leadership and commitment to the community,” said Wendy Rose, executive director of the community foundation. “The GIFT VII board engagement grant posed a challenge for each director to commit significant financial resources. They rose to meet the challenge so that our community could benefit from the generous unrestricted grant from the Endowment.”
Individuals serving at any time during the specific time frame were asked to meet the challenge, even though some were only active members for a few months. The directors were: Kaye Beall, Pam Burger, Bob Conn, Missy Culp, Katie DeGroot, Kurt Dickey, Tim Gearhart, Julie Hanus, Krysten Hinkle, Karen Jones, Bob Klitzman, Leslie Link, Gregg Malott, Darlene Mellon, Dan Murphy, Vicki Overmyer, Megan Perkins, Shane Pilarski, Barb Schultz, Bob Simpson, Don Street, and Dan Zylstra.
