Teachers and support staff will receive pay raises under the new contract, which comes in a year where the school corporation lost 60 students.
In other business, with increasing cases of COVID-19, the board discussed staffing ramifications if more students need to return to virtual learning.
Superintendent Dan Zylstra reported the elementary school was set to resume in-person instruction on Friday, Nov. 13, following a period of eLearning due to a case of COVID infection. Zylstra said the school district hopes to remain on in-person instruction as long as staffing can be maintained.
The board voted to enter into a contract with Boyce Systems for its Komputrol School Accounting software.
Zylstra reported bus barn renovations will begin soon, with the interior of the building being insulated so bus work can be performed over the winter.
