During the program's run, each CFPC board member will have an opportunity to give out a $200 surprise grant to a nonprofit organization of his/her choice in Pulaski County.
The 10th recipient for 2020 is the Francesville-Salem Township Public Library which received its grant from CFPC board member Dan Murphy. The grant was accepted on behalf of the library by library director Anita Messer.
Murphy selected the library because of the large number of services it provides to the community, but especially because of the programs directed at the youth in the area, like its Summer Reading Program. The Library staff goes out of their way to provide programs that instill a desire to explore and grow in the young people it serves. Messer said the library was surprised and very thankful for the unexpected grant from the Foundation.
The CFPC members are planning to continue awarding these surprise grants to outstanding nonprofit organizations that serve and benefit the community.
