West Central officials have followed protocols and guidance from the county board of health in contact tracing and isolation/quarantine directives. All individuals who were in close contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or longer) have been notified directly.
Zylstra asked that the public please be aware that privacy laws, including HIPAA and FERPA, prevent school officials from sharing further information regarding students and staff.
The building is being cleaned and sanitized according to COVID-19 protocol.
“Please continue to be mindful to practice COVID-19 precautions and protocols in order to keep our school and community safe,” Zylstra said. “We thank you for your cooperation as we progress through this most unusual school year.”
West Central's first grading period ends Tuesday (Oct. 13). The school has parent/teacher conferences next week, followed by a fall break Oct. 22-26.
