During the program's run, each CFPC board member will have an opportunity to give out a $200 surprise grant to a nonprofit organization of his/her choice in Pulaski County.
The ninth recipient for 2020 is the Pulaski Health Foundation’s Assisted Living Project which received its grant from CFPC board member Dr. Robert Klitzman (left). The grant was accepted on behalf of the PHF by Foundation chairman Scott Fritz and executive director Sharon McKinley.
Klitzman said the Pulaski Health Foundation is in the initial stages of building an assisted living complex to fill a void in the “Continuum of Care” for area seniors. “The complex will provide our seniors a quality setting for independent living with a minimal amount of professional assistance based on needs,” he explained.
Community Foundation of Pulaski County board members are delighted to continue awarding surprise grants in 2020 to local nonprofit organizations. Other community grants this year must address one or more of the four areas of community aspirations--thriving and growing, welcoming and open minded, safe and drug free, and forward-thinking leadership.
