“For efficiency, patient satisfaction and a long-term solution, we felt it best for patients to work through their primary care provider’s office to schedule testing,” said Brian Ledley, communications director for PMH.
Individuals who call the COVID-19 Hotline number will reach a voicemail with instructions to call their primary care provider or 911 for emergencies. If a member of the public feels that they have symptoms of COVID-19 or have come in contact with someone who has tested positive, please call (574) 946-2194 to schedule an appointment with a PMH provider.
“With 23 providers servicing five clinics, we will make every effort to schedule an appointment for those in need. For patient care needs outside of regular office hours, our Emergency Room is always available for emergency situations; however, we encourage the public to call their provider first, if possible,” Ledley said.
Regular testing at PMH will continue to be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each week.

Health officials at Pulaski Memorial continue to encourage everyone to take the necessary steps to protect themselves and others in the community. Wearing a mask, socially distancing, and washing and sanitizing your hands as often as you can, are still the best ways to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Other COVID updates from PMH:
With confirmed cases increasing nationally, testing turnaround times are growing again – up to 96 hours or longer. When speaking with LabCorp, PMH’s Commercial Laboratory partner, the hospital was informed that they are again exceeding capacity with backlogs growing. In addition to testing patients, hospital and nursing home workers, the Lab is now starting to see college students being tested before returning back to school in the fall.
COVID-19 can take a mental toll on individuals. Catherine Dywan, LCSW, is available for those who are battling mental health issues. A provider referral is required, so speak with your Primary Care Provider to learn more about mental health services at PMH.
Senior Care is also available for those individuals 65 and older and on traditional Medicare who are struggling with mental health issues. To learn more about Senior Care, please call (574) 946-0386.
