Grants have been awarded to:
Eastern Pulaski Elementary School received $20,696 for educational literacy efforts. The grant will provide support for instructional coaching, staff development, licensed reading program and birthday books.
West Central Elementary School was awarded $16,000 to help improve literacy rates in the school. Funds will help provide literacy support technology, professional development, books and kindergarten readiness packs.
Francesville-Salem Township Library received $2,466 for its Summer Reading Program, “Imagine Your Story.” The grant will be used for books and educational programs.
Pulaski County Public Library was awarded $4,678 for subscription and promotion of online learning courses free to all county residents. The wide range of interactive, instructor-led courses are taken entirely online, with new sessions starting every month and running for six weeks.
Purdue Extension Learning Center received $6,000 for the Learning Network, offering formal and informal educational courses at minimal cost. PACE funds will help with administrative costs, advertising, and technology updates for Learning Center classes.
Pulaski Alliance for Community Education (PACE) was established in 2002. Grants from the PACE Endowment are made available each year, focusing on eligible educational organizations in Pulaski County.
