The following five sessions make up the targeted trainings:
- June 24 - Build a Championship Board Team! (Board Governance and Development)
- July 22 - Strategic Planning – The Roadmap to IMPACT! (Hands-on steps to building a usable strategic plan)
- August 19 - Is Your Nonprofit Changing Lives? Prove it! (Understanding and using outcomes to tell your story)
- September 23 - Nonprofit Marketing – Messaging for Results (It’s YOUR story-tell it, tell it again, and tell it again! Are people talking about your organization?)
- October 21 - Fearless Fundraising - Building a Culture of Philanthropy (Interactive session designed to inform and practice building a culture of philanthropy.)
Facilitators for the series include Amy Beechy, Project Matters, LLC,; Susan Decker, BoardSource; and Kimberly Pinkerton, Kimberly’s Business by Design, LLC. All three bring many years of experience and insight in the complex dynamics of nonprofit management to share with series participants.
The Community Foundation will also offer a Certificate of Excellence in Nonprofit Management for attendees who choose to enroll in and successfully complete at least four of the five sessions, including strategic planning. Details for the certification will be included with registration information.
Certificates of Completion will be awarded to attendees who choose to complete only select courses.

All classes will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Winamac and maximum capacity will be 20 persons. Social distancing will be maintained between attendees and hand sanitizer and masks will be available onsite.
This training series is a part of the Forward Thinking Leadership Initiative which launched in response to the community’s desire for visionary leadership and forward momentum for Pulaski County.
