On #GivingTuesdayNow, communities were encouraged to take action on behalf of first responders as well as the world’s other - often forgotten - frontline workers: the nonprofits and community organizations that feed, house, educate, and nurture neighbors impacted by the global pandemic.
Local individuals, organizations and businesses shared with the Community Foundation of Pulaski County stories and pictures of generosity in their communities. The foundation posted them on social media, spreading messages of kindness and support throughout the day.
In addition, corporations and individuals donated over $4,500 to the Pulaski County Care Pass-Through Fund for financial support to local organizations in need due to the Coronavirus.
We find hope in these stories of bold generosity. It is in these small acts of bravery and caring that we will put the world, and our own little corner of the world, back together in the way we want it to be.
