Completing a total of nine years of service in 2019 were Robert Conn, Katie DeGroot, and Don Street. Their long-term support was acknowledged with an appreciation award, and each was commended for their many efforts to improve both the community foundation and Pulaski County.
New board members are Pam Burger, Kurt Dickey, Leslie Link, and Barb Schultz. Each will add unique experience to the community foundation.
Burger is a retired teacher and serves in leadership roles with the First Christian Church and Friends of the Panhandle Pathway. Dickey returned to the county 11 years ago, bringing expertise in technology, sales, and nonprofit experience. Link is director of e-commerce at Link Environmental and serves as secretary of the Winamac Athletic Boosters. Schultz is recently retired from Human Resources at Alliance Bank and is active with Friends of the Panhandle Pathway.
Director Dan Murphy qualifies as new to the CFPC board, though officially joining the board last fall. Murphy served on the foundation’s finance committee previously, and after retiring as Pulaski County’s prosecuting attorney, he accepted a full director position on the Community Foundation board.

“CFPC directors are critical to the success of the board and bring a depth of knowledge, expertise, and perspectives with them,” said executive director Wendy Rose. “As our focus on the community aspiration for a community with forward-thinking leadership, we are grateful for these examples of volunteers who share their time, talent, and leadership for the betterment of our county. They are deserving of the community’s gratitude.”
