“Karen has been a part of Purdue Extension of Pulaski County for most of her life.” said Samantha Williams, County Extension Director/4-H Educator. “She is always willing to help in whatever capacity she can.”
Purdue Extension of Pulaski County hosted the annual meeting event, and those attending enjoyed a fish fry dinner.
Each of the Purdue Extension educators presented at the 2020 annual meeting. 4-H Youth Development Educator Samantha Williams led those in attendance in an activity to emphasize the importance of volunteers in the community. Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator Phil Woolery shared information about the programs he is using the drone for and included images taken with the drone. Health and Human Sciences Educator Mandy Medbourn played a “Captain Cash” Jeopardy game with the group to demonstrate how she teaches money management to youth.
The annual meeting celebrates the impact and successful programming accomplished throughout 2019 by both organizations. Both entities work to provide educational opportunities and resources to the community that focus on conservation, water quality, healthy living, youth development, money management, school readiness, and much more.
The mission of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service is education of Indiana citizens through the application of land-grant university research and knowledge base to develop youth and strengthen agriculture, families, and communities.
