Messer was pronounced dead at the scene by chief deputy coroner Jon Frain. Next of kin were notified. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday at the coroner's office.
Pulaski County detective sergeant Chris Schramm said in a news release from the coroner's office that he believes there is no immediate danger to the public at this time. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Schramm.
