“We want to hear from a diverse array of citizens across Pulaski County,” said Wendy Rose, executive director. “It is our goal to have a strong representation of voices presenting their thoughts on our community. We will be scheduling those conversations from now through August.”
Residents of the county are strongly encouraged to engage in the conversations as the opportunities arise, as this information will be vital moving forward.
According to Rose, the community conversations will help the Community Foundation identify a clear vision of priorities it might address for the benefit of the entire county.
“The conversations will make it possible to know which high-priority opportunities or challenges rise to the top and have the greatest interest of community members," she said. "We also hope to learn what efforts some may already be engaged in and gauge interest in possible future collaborations,” she added.
All data collected from the conversations will be compiled into a comprehensive report which will provide a community profile for use by CFPC and other community organizations.
