Alliance Bank office manager Julie Evers and mortgage originator Hunter Hickman present a donation of $1,630 to Roger Buschman, president of the Jasper County Historical Society. |
Each quarter Alliance Bank employees select a charity to support in one of the four counties where they have offices - Benton, Jasper, Pulaski and White - with their Casual for a Cause program. In 2018, Alliance Bank made donations totaling $49,800 to local non-profit organizations.
The Quick/Walters/Hall log cabin was built in 1867 in Barkley Township in Jasper County. In January of 1967 the cabin was moved and reconstructed at the entrance of the Jasper County Fairgrounds. Volunteers began working on the restoration of the cabin in July 2017 and their work continues today.
This gift from Alliance Bank will help purchase the remaining chink needed to fill in between the logs. Employees of the bank have promised to return this spring to help on the project. Watch the progress of the log cabin restoration on the Jasper County Historical Society’s Facebook page.
Alliance Bank is a local Real Community Bank® with offices in Francesville, Monon, Monticello, Otterbein, Oxford, Rensselaer, and Winamac.
