The Northern Indiana Power from the Past organization helped by contributing $200 dollars to this donation.
Pulaski County Farm Bureau is also partnering with West Central School Corporation’s FFA chapter to help students raise food donations that will be donated to food pantries in Francesville and Medaryville.
Indiana Farm Bureau's 100th anniversary will be later this month, on March 25, and one of the ways it is celebrating is through its 100 Pounds for 100 Years campaign for Indiana’s 92 county Farm Bureaus.
In December, INFB challenged each county Farm Bureau to donate at least 100 pounds of food, or the monetary equivalent of 100 pounds of food, to a local food pantry, soup kitchen or other in-need organization before its 100th anniversary.
According to many food banks in Indiana, every dollar donated equals 3.6 pounds of food for those in need.
“Hoosier farmers are always there to lend a hand to a friend, share a meal with a neighbor or support others in their communities who are less fortunate,” said
INFB President Randy Kron. “I’m so encouraged by the great results from our county Farm Bureaus, who are participating in this community campaign in honor of Farm Bureau’s 100th anniversary.”
On March 25, INFB will be announcing how many pounds of food the organization has donated as a result of the statewide 100 Pounds for 100 Years campaign. This announcement will include the monetary donation from Pulaski County Farm Bureau. To follow along with the results of INFB’s 100
