On Feb, 15, O'Connor officially retired from Alliance Bank.
“As a leader at Alliance Bank, Mike demonstrated all of the things we believe as a community bank,” shared bank president Shane Pilarski. “He led by example on how to develop valuable relationships with clients and walked the walk when it came to investing time and resources back into our communities. I was fortunate to work beside him for 16 years and am grateful he will continue to provide his knowledge and experience while serving on the board.”
O’Connor was elected to serve on the bank’s board of directors in 2016, a role he will continue to serve in moving forward. Along with the board, he is an
active volunteer with Panhandle Pathway. As the maintenance director of a portion of the trail, he will volunteer year-round to keep the path clean and open
for local residents. He is also an active member of the Winamac Kiwanis Club, and past board member of the Pulaski County YMCA.
In retirement, he plans to spend time with his wife, Sherry, three children and six grandchildren.
Pilarski said Alliance Bank offers its gratitude to Mike O’Connor for his leadership, dedication and service over the last 24 years; and wishes him all the best in retirement.
Alliance Bank is a proud community bank serving clients in Francesville, Monon, Monticello, Otterbein, Oxford, Rensselaer, Winamac and surrounding
communities.
