Before, his tenure at Monroe Central, Ritchie served as the principal at Knightstown Community High School for seven years.
He has extensive experience in gathering and utilizing data to drive important decision making within the educational realm and has been instrumental in helping raise academic success.
Ritchie has 25 years in education which includes 10 years as a secondary principal, one year as an assistant principal, nine years as a school-to-career coordinator/technology department chair, and five years as a technology teacher.
He and his wife Libby have two adult children, Ryan and Taylor. Ryan is a former White House intern and is currently a staff assistant at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. Taylor is an account executive for Woof Boom Radio in Muncie.
Ritchie said he is excited to become a part of the West Central School Community.
Superintendent Don Street asked the community to join school officials in welcoming Scott Ritchie to the West Central School Corporation.
