WINAMAC - Lois Mae Lau, 80, of Winamac, passed away Monday, June 10, at Hickory Creek in Winamac.

She was born Nov. 14, 1943 in Winamac to the late Louis and Goldie [Jenkins] Lau.

She is survived by several nephews and their families, as well as numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Harry (Gertie) Lau, Mary Lou (Joseph) Malia, and Anna Belle (Jim) Posthuma; and a niece Barbara Posthuma.

Ms. Lau made many friends during the years she worked at Schultz Bros. Dime Store, and then at Coast-to-Coast Hardware which later became Ace Hardware. She was a beloved member of Bethel Bible Church. She was well-known for her greeting card ministry and sharing Amish-baked goods with others. She enjoyed her many pet dogs and cats, doing dot-to-dot pictures, and watching TV.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, June 17, at Bethel Bible Church in Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Monday), at the church with Pastor Matt Dodd officiating. Private burial will be at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac.

Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Bible Church.
