KEWANNA - Richard L. Kurz, 82, of Kewanna passed away at 4:52 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, at home surrounded by family.

Born Dec. 12, 1939 in Muncie, he was the son of the late William and Ruth (Mills) Kurz. He was a Winamac High School graduate, and a proud U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Martha (Hubeny) Kurz of Kewanna; sons, Michael (Misty) Kurz of Corydon and Scott McCord of Georgia; and daughters, Lisa McCord of Seattle and Jane (John) Williamson of Winamac. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by sisters, Marge Hartle and Libby Krohn, grandson, Brent Kurz and granddaughter, Katelyn Kollmar.

Mr. Kurz was a retired aircraft mechanic at the Logansport Airport. He was a life-member of the VFW Post 1728 in Winamac. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting
stained glass projects and working in his yard.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, at Pleasant Hill Lake Bruce Community Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial with military rites will be performed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
