WINAMAC - Robert Dale Merriman, 63, of Winamac, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, in South Bend.

He was born April 20, 1959, in Logansport, to the late Homer Dale and Alice J. [Zeek] Merriman. He graduated from West Central High School in 1977.

In addition to farming, Mr. Merriman was previously employed for many years with Alloy Custom Products. He was a kind, funny, hard-working, laid-back, sometimes stubborn, man of few words. He could always be found enjoying a concert, making a trip to the casino, hunting, spending time with loved ones, or looking for the next good restaurant. He was an amazing cook.
