WINAMAC - Patty L. Heims, 77, of Winamac passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, at Hickory Creek in Winamac.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1945 in Winamac to the late Kenneth and Pauline [Passmore] Chamness. She attended Winamac High School; later in life earning a GED. She married Donald E. Heims. He survives.

Mrs. Heims worked at Brian’s in Monticello for several years and Eaton’s in Winamac for 26 years. She enjoyed raising tomatoes and fishing on the Tippecanoe River. She was an avid BINGO and Euchre player. She was a member of Winamac VFW Post #1728 Auxiliary. She enjoyed attending auctions with her husband, Donald. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. (Saturday) at the funeral home with Rev. Don Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac.
