Margaret E. Berkshire

October 18, 1936 to June 19, 2022

WINAMAC - Margaret Ellen Berkshire, 85, of Winamac, formerly of Star City, passed away Sunday, June 19, at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac.

She was born Oct. 18, 1936 in Royal Center, to the late Howard J. and Margaret M. Conn Lincoln. She married Charles Bruce Berkshire on Feb. 25, 1955 in Star City. He died Oct. 26, 2000.

Mrs. Berkshire was a homemaker and former assembly worker at the Eaton Company and the Tee-Pak Company in Winamac. She was a member of the Star City United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society of the church. She was a member of the Bunco Club in Star City. She was also a member of the Red Hats and Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet, as well as traveling. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Friday, June 24, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon, Friday, at the funeral home with Rev. Chris Kosary officiating. Burial will be at Star City West Cemetery in Star City. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Star City United Methodist Church or Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
