Dolores O'Connor Haselby

WINAMAC - Dolores C. O'Connor Haselby, 81, of Winamac, died at 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, Jan.18, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

She was born May 15, 1930, in Chicago Heights, IL, to the late Mathias A. and Rose M. Schutz Loehmer. She married Richard G. O'Connor on Aug. 19, 1950 in Winamac. He died Jan. 28, 1960. She married Ivan D. "Ike" Haselby on Dec. 26, 1992 in Winamac. He survives.

Mrs. O'Connor Haselby was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers, Ladies of Charity, and the Daughters of Isabella. She served as Monroe Township Trustee, Pulaski County Treasurer 1985-1992 and Pulaski County Auditor 1993-1996. She was active in the Democrat Party. She was the former president of the Pulaski County Heart Association.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening and quilting. She enjoyed politics. She enjoyed refinishing and reupholstering furniture. She enjoyed music, dancing and playing cards.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac.The rosary, Christian Mothers Service, and Ladies of Charity Prayer will begin at 7:30 p.m., immediately followed by a scriptural wake service. The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday (Jan. 21) at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac.

Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Peter's Catholic Church or the local charity of the donor's choice.
