WINAMAC - Shelby Jean Jeffers, 70, of 2059 North 100 West, Winamac, passed away at 7:05 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, at Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport.

She was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Mullins, SC, to Evans L. and Louise Carter Bryant. She married Robert H. Jeffers on March 15, 1957, in Hammond. He survives.

Mrs. Jeffers has resided in Winamac for the past 8 years, coming from North Carolina. She was also a former resident of Calumet City, IL. While living in Calumet City she was a second mom to many children.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at  11 a.m., Saturday (May 29), at the funeral home with Pastor Denny Wilson officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
